Part one · 1997
A yellow pages in a shed
Before there was a company, there was this domain. In 1997, in a corner of an industrial shed, a small team built a yellow pages for India and called it seekindia.com. People came to it seeking companies, products, and services.
Part two · the discovery
America finds the shed
Buyers in America came to it seeking Indian companies. What some of them found was the team behind the directory itself. Work arrived from the other side of the world to a team most maps could not place. In 2000, that team became Net Solutions.
It grew up in Chandigarh, a city Le Corbusier planned on the belief that good design can organise ambition. The work spread to London, New York, and Toronto. The word outsourcing stopped fitting.
Part three · now
What the world seeks now
The question has changed. It is no longer who can build it cheaper. It is who can build software that machines can read, AI agents can use, and businesses can trust.
That is engineering. It is what the team from the shed does today.
